The volume of the METRO Cabinet 160 E is enough to fill a bathtub or 5-6 three-minute showers, and with an efficient immersion heater, the heater recovers quickly.
The heater has an elegant design in white lacquered steel with a framing silver strip. It gives an accurate look that fits into most kitchens and bathrooms. The METRO Cabinet can be mounted on the wall with the included wall brackets. If floor mounting is a preference, leg stands are available as accessories.
The water reservoir is protected by glass-enamelled steel and has indirect heating, which provides durable and long-lasting protection against corrosion. This model is particularly suitable on, for example, Öland, Gotland, Österlen, Uppsala, Norrtälje and in households with their own wells where the water is often rich in lime and can have a high chloride content.
This is a reliable and powerful water heater for households with a smaller hot water requirement. The heater is easy and flexible to place with its compact dimensions and compatibility with both wall and floor mounting. The METRO Cabinet 160 E with conventional thermostat can also be installed horizontally with the back of the heater facing down (this gives a reduction in volume of about 25%).
The water heater comes with a complete set of fittings with safety valve, mixing valve and shut-off valve. The 3 kW immersion heater is mounted in a protective tube, which makes the heater less sensitive to limescale. For maximum power, the 1-metre connection cable is adapted for fixed electrical installation to 2-phase. But it can also be connected to 1-phase with a plug, but then gets an output of 1 kW.
Metro Therm's enamelled water heater can be used for the vast majority of water types. The enamelled pressure vessel steel is particularly resistant to corrosion and is particularly suitable for water with high hardness and high chloride content. The chloride content should not exceed 250 mg Cl/l and the pH value should be between 6 and 9 in order for corrosion protection to be effective for as long as possible. The enamel of the heater is protected by a magnesium anode that should be checked every two years and possibly replaced if necessary. In case of particularly high or low chloride or manganese levels in the water, we recommend replacing the magnesium anode with an electric titanium anode.
For water types with a high pH value, we recommend stainless steel heaters from the Metro Therm or Focus range.
