METRO Sekundex IMD is a district heating center for secondary systems, also called low temperature systems. This means that the heat often comes from a larger district heating center or other type of boiler where there is a lower incoming temperature and pressure to the system than in a normal district heating system in the primary network. The solution may be suitable in, for example, apartment buildings, townhouses or a communal area.
The heat is regulated with a Danfoss ECL 110 which, together with the outside temperature and supply temperature, adjusts the heat completely automatically. In this way, an even and pleasant indoor temperature is ensured regardless of the weather and season!

The hot water is set during the actual installation and then the central unit takes care of the rest, which ensures that there is hot water at every tap. The direct heat exchange of the water gives you an endless flow of fresh and newly produced hot water.
Several facilities where METRO Sekundex IMD has been installed have shown a reduction in consumption with a saving that already gives a payoff time of around 2-7 years. Is this the right district heating center for you?
If you are connected to a secondary network, where a larger central or boiler provides heat to several homes with subcentrals such as in an apartment building, terraced house or communal area. There, this central is optimal as a sub-central.
Unlike a "normal" district heating center, Sekundex IMD only has a heat exchanger for the hot water. The heat comes directly from the larger central or boiler up to the central's flow control.

This central unit is adapted for secondary systems and has all pipe connections (DN15) at the bottom of the central unit with a pressure class of PN10 and an effective insulation around the entire central unit which protects against unnecessary heat losses. During service work on the switchboard, the front part of the insulation is removable.
The Danfoss ECL 110 control unit is an appreciated choice that makes the central unit very easy to set up and regulate. The smart functions provide many many advantages, including automatic pump exercise, the possibility of max and min limitation and a number of more ECO functions.
METRO Sekundex IMD is delivered complete with non-return valve and safety valve and it is internally fully connected with a plug for connection to a standard wall outlet.
